Brief Introduction:
Guibao 998 is one-component neutral curing silicone sealant with out landing weatherproof. Purposely studied for curtain wall. Its physical and chemical properties are stable in artificiality accelerated weathering test.
Guibao 998 is extruded from tube with sealant gun when used, and it absorbs the moisture in the air, then cures to elastomer capable of maintaining a seal effectively.
1 Characteristics:
Guibao 998 belongs to RTV-1 , good extrusion and thixotropy between 4~+40≧, Easy to use: can be used directly by sealant
gun.
Neutral curing, non-corrosive to metal, coated glass, concrete, marble, granite etc, wide
application.
High movement capability. For the natural distortion of retraction and shearing of the curtain wall, this product will keep the performance, have excellent sealed effect.
Excellent capability in weather-resistance, ultraviolet radiation-resistance, ozone-resistance, water-resistance
etc.
Excellent resistance to low and high temperature change. No fragility, rigidification or crack at -50≧, and no softening degradation at +150≧ when cured, it always keeps good elasticity.
Excellent adhesion to most common building materials without priming.
Good compatibility with other neutral silicon sealants.
2 Purpose:
Weather sealing in glass curtain wall joints.
Weather sealing in metal, enamel curtain wall joints.
Sealing in expansion joints for concrete,plastic and metal etc;
Sealing in the roof joints.
Many other uses.
3 Application Standard:

4 Package:
Guibao 998 is packed in 350 ml cartridge (net content: 300ml), or in 600 ml multi-membrane soft package (net content:592ml)
5 Storage:
Storage in 20-27≧ dry and cool place, from the producing date, the valid period is 9 month, please note the producing date on the package.
6 Restriction of Usage:
Can not be used as structural sealant;
Unsuitable for all kinds of material that can effuse grease, plasticizer or solvent, for example: surface of oiliness wooden materials
Unsuitable for the airproof location, because it is required absorb moisture in air to cure for the sealant.
Unsuitable for the frosty or moist surface.
Unsuitable for the continually soggy or always moist place.
Can not be used when the temperature on the surface of the materials is below 4≧ or above 40≧
Unsuitable for the surface of copper, lead, or zincification metals.
